Samsung Galaxy Alpha With Metal Frame Body Launched in India at Rs. 39,990
Samsung has launched their first metal-bodied Galaxy Alpha smartphone in the Indian market with price tag of Rs. 39,990. Samsung Galaxy Alpha is thinnest smartphone in Samsung’s segment and also first device to boast metallic build materials.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has come with metallic frame and the back panel is still plastic, the metallic frame gives the device a premium feels. The Galaxy Alpha features metal and curved corners and a tactile soft back cover. The Galaxy Alpha has slimmest devices ever with 6.7mm thickness and with lightweight of 115 grams.
Samsung Galaxy Alpha sports 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED (720x1280p) display and powered by Samsung’s Exynos octa core processor featuring 1.8GHz quad-core and 1.3GHz quad-core processors, and 2GB RAM. To compare to other Galaxy phones, the Galaxy Alpha comes with 32GB internal storage but doesn’t feature a microSD card slot as its main disadvantage. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with Samsung’s Ultra-Power Saving mode and S Health application and the device which supports finger print scanner, heart rate sensor and private mode.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha smartphone powered by an Exynos 5 Octa 5430 processor (1.8GHz quad-core Cortex A51 + 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7) paired with 2GB of RAM. The device camera point of view that featured 12-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera can also suyppor 4K video recording.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features connectivity options include Micro-USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G/ LTE, and NFC. Samsung also says that the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is more compatible with 4G/ LTE bands in India. Samsung Galaxy Alpha will be available in black, dazzling white, frosted gold, sleek silver, and scuba blue colours.
