Redmi 2 Prime First ‘Made in India’ Smartphone launches from Xiaomi
The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on last Monday launched first `made-in-India’ smartphone phone, the Redmi 2 Prime and this phone is updated version of Redmi 2 with 2GB ram and 16 GB flash memory.
To Launching the Redmi 2 Prime, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that his Government was providing better place and system for young leader and young governments to make Andhra Pradesh manufacturing hub for hardware. The latest Redmi 2 Prime price in India Rs.6,999. The Redmi 2 Prime specifications include 4.70-inch large display, 1.2Ghz processor with resolution of 720X1280 pixels, spped comes wit support of 2GB RAM, device running Android 4.4, camera comes 2 Megapixel front facing and 8-megapixel comes Rear camera, storage has 16GM, and this smartphone packed with 2200mAh.
The good news Xiaomi has tied up with Foxconn to produce and manufacturing of smartphones at Sri City near to Tada. Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India,’ campaign, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said tha this government was being promoted as manufacturing hub for hardware. He also said that Xiaomi’s entry into A.P would boost the image for the state as hub for investment.
As per launching event that given global smartphone sales are estimated to growth from to 1.7 billion by year 2017 and India will become the second biggest smartphone market by 2017 after China, and Xiaomi is looking to expand their presence and increase its market share in the country as said.
