Motorola Kernel Source Codes for Moto X(2014) and Moto G(2014) available
Motorola has released Android 4.4.4 KitKat kernel source codes for the Moto G (Gen 2) and Moto X (Gen 2) on GitHub. The 2014 Motorola Moto G was announced and released last September and available orders through Motorola website, and the Motorola Moto X were released at the end of October 2014.
The release of both models and the kernel source codes have been released recently. These kernel source codes are available on Motorola’s development GitHuba dn after the confirmation by employee of Motorola.
We might aware that kernel is basically Linux-based software that runs with Android, and this kernel which allows interacting with mobile phone or tableting hardware. The Android uses with open source software that requires manufacturers to publish the source code publicly for everyone to inspect and modify if they want to. as per requirement. These can be used for those who understand and enjoy updating hardware or loading new ROMs for specialized and customized features, the ability to source the code and modify it is a dream comes true.
The kernel source codes for the Moto X and Moto G (Gen 2) are ready to download as a standard browsable GitHub in the form of zip or tar files, as noted by Android Police. The company Motorola announced the Moto X and Moto G (Gen 2) are powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat, and the company has confirmed it will roll out an Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the two devices.
