Facebook has announced a New Home for Android users


Facebook is revamping its home feature on Android smartphones by making it look like the traditional lock screen with overlaid notifications for both the phone and Facebook. According to Techcrunch, the new version shows time, weather and notifications in the lock screen for instant viewing and Facebook users can swipe left to view the cover Feed for full screen photos and posts.

The Facebook home launcher includes a shortcut to bring up the cover Feed and users can also set a wallpaper of their choice. The new version allows users to customize favourite apps dock, create folders and import their existing folders.

Facebook Users will also can able to download Facebook Home as app from Google Play, which this will be compatible with certain phones that could be use either “Jelly Bean” or “Ice Cream Sandwich” versions  of Android.

Facebook new Home for Android

Facebook Home will also support the other devices like HTC One X, HTC One X+, Samsung GALAXY S III and Samsung GALAXY Note II. This will also work on the forthcoming HTC One and Samsung GALAXY S4.

Home essentially as custom start screen of Android phone, and replacing Facebook home screen with one cantered Facebook.  This will help Facebook users can access other Android apps on the phone. The main focus is on these Facebook apps that run on the Facebook platform. Home can also be enabled as a lock screen options.
